- You should have about 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar role in the internet space, and also have to be new media savvy.
- As the Managing Editor you lead the editorial group, and would need to work closely with the Audience BUs, section editors, and editorial associates on all editorial facets of the contents on the Yahoo! Website.
- You would be required to collaborate, derive synergies, push change in strategy to deliver on key projects. In the whole process you become a fulcrum for all content driven initiatives.
- It is very important that your past experience should have given you the opportunity to network extensively in the industry to have an idea about the established practices as well as to understand competitive scanning of the environment on a regular basis, so that cutting edge editorials solutions are available to the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to thoroughly research stories and topics while handling multiple tasks in a fairly organized manner is very essential, you should also be networked in the blogger's community and be extremely consumer focused.
- Independent writing and editing experience publishing under regular deadlines should be your forte.
