Senior Sales Executive, HT Music (Fever 104)

Fever 104 was launched through a technical collaboration between Hindustan Times and Virgin Radio on 30th Oct 2006. After kick-starting the first station in Delhi, Fever 104 is now present in the cities of Mumbai, Bangalore and will be soon present in Kolkata as well.
HT Music & Entertainment acquired the necessary radio broadcast licenses in Jan 2006 and Virgin Radio International is assisting HT Music operationalize these licenses by pr! oviding radio management expertise, with a particular focus on programming.

Position: Senior Sales Executive

Reports To : Manager Sales

Location: Mumbai

Purpose Of Role: Work closely with the Manager Sales on all matters related to the sale of airtime for the station. Enhance revenue through direct sales w/advertising agencies and clients

Purpose :
Work closely with the team leader on all matters rela! ted to the sale of airtime for the station. Enhances revenue t! hrough d irect sales w/advertising agencies and clients

Responsibilities:

A ) Implement sales strategy
Tasks
- Enhance revenue through direct sales w/advertising agencies and clients
- Create, maintain and enhance relationships with accounts in identified categories.
- Develop relationships with business clients, in and out of present client categories.
- Devise and deliver presentations to demonstrate the value of the Station's dominating and specialized consumer market while referencing syndicated research data such as Nielsen, etc.
- Optimise current agency and client relationships
- Function strategically and tactically to position the S! tation to dominate the radio space.
- Develop sales plans and goals by studying and understanding the station's market and seek approval all sales promotion campaigns from the Sales Head
- Determine price schedules and discount rates in tandem with the Station Head and Sales Head.
- Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
Monitor and analyse sales and marketing activity against goals.
- Scan the environment to gain insights into competitor strategies, potential business opportunities and market trends

B) Monitor competition and Maintain Relationships with external Agencies / clients
- Be constantly aware of new trends in media.
- Identify and resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
- Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.


Personal Profile Required :
Qualification & Experience : MBA with Min 3-4 years of sales experience ,radio or broadcasting experience would be an added advantage.

- Strong agency relationships to get immediate awareness of programming initiatives
- Ability to work well with media and entertainment companies

- Ability to work in concert with the interactive group when required for digital initiatives
- Successful radio advertising sales experience with advertising agencies and clients
- Strong communication skills to gain consensus internal and external to the local Station.
- Self-motivated, proactive, strong work ethic. Intelligent strategic thinker.
- Creative seller who takes advantage of opportunities. A person who can also create their own compelling opportunities for clients and the Company
- Capacity to convey the Company's music programming and audience to the senior most decision makers on the agency and client side who want a leading Radio Network to attract their desired d! emographic based on urban music programming
- Time management and financial skills.
